AmLaw firm is seeking an experienced employment attorney with 7+ years of experience, including significant class and representative action experience, to join as Counsel or Special Counsel. This is a mostly remote opportunity focused on sophisticated employment litigation, with an emphasis on class and representative actions.
The attorney will work closely with established class action partners to develop case strategies, manage matters through all phases of litigation, handle substantive work, and supervise attorneys and other team members. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, appearing at hearings and conferences, preparing for trial, and advising clients on employment law matters.
The position offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation, develop meaningful client relationships, and work with a highly collaborative practice. The remote setup provides flexibility without sacrificing the substance or pace of a sophisticated litigation practice, and there is no business development pressure. Attorneys receive support from paralegals and secretarial team members, with some primarily local travel potentially required (depending on candidate location).
Compensation: The annual salary range is $145,000–$215,000, with actual compensation determined by factors including experience, skills, and qualifications. The firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, parental leave, 401(k) with profit-sharing, life and disability insurance, and other optional benefits.
