Fello is seeking an Employment Advisor in Maryland to provide job coaching, retention supports, and PCP-based services for people with disabilities. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver wraparound supports and tailor job development and search activities to each person’s strengths.

The role involves both virtual and in-person coaching, potential transportation support, and completing required Fello and DDA trainings.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience working with people with disabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree and experience in workforce development programs are a plus.
• Valid Maryland driver’s license with no significant traffic violations is required.
• Candidates must complete all required Fello and DDA trainings.

The Employment Advisor provides job coaching, retention services, and other employment services based on a Person-Centered Plan (PCP). Working with an interdisciplinary team, they deliver wraparound supports to help people with disabilities retain employment and improve work skills. The Employment Advisor conducts job development and job search activities tailored to each person's unique interests and strengths, provides individualized follow-along supports, facilitates both virtual and in-person job coaching, and ensures goals are developed and benchmarks are met. They may also provide transportation to and from work and must meet the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional (DSP).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, creative, and innovative team player with a demonstrated ability to provide respectful support that meets the diverse needs of persons served. They possess strong written and verbal communication skills with persons served, their families, coworkers, employers, and other stakeholders. Basic computer skills and proven ability to use MS Word, Outlook, and other technology tools to support people with disabilities are required.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience working with people with disabilities. Candidates must also be able to complete all required Fello and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) trainings.
