Job summary

State of Idaho in Twin Falls is seeking a Business Services Specialist to provide training and technical assistance to employers, helping to recruit and retain individuals with disabilities. The role is based at the Twin Falls office with opportunities to engage with workforce partners and deliver customized employer services.

The position emphasizes presenting to diverse audiences, developing training materials, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to align with labor market

Responsibilities

• Provides training and technical assistance to employers to support employment of individuals with disabilities, including awareness of ADA requirements.
• Supports businesses to recruit, hire, and retain individuals with disabilities as part of their workforce.
• Assists internal team members to identify participants who can meet employer needs.
• Develops and delivers relevant presentations and training materials to meet the needs of businesses.
• Provides Business Services support across IDVR, offering guidance, resources, and problem-solving assistance to team members, businesses, participants, and Pre-ETS participants.
• Assists participants and stakeholders in understanding labor market trends, employer needs, and industry demands.
• Engages with workforce partners to coordinate unified Business Services efforts.
• Supports outreach strategies through labor market consultation and development of customized employer services.
• Supports development of activities/events to improve systems related to students with disabilities.
• Provides training and education to employers regarding benefits of recruiting individuals with disabilities.
