Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to support the Employee Relations Manager across multiple states. The role focuses on drafting and tracking PIPs, counsels, and corrective actions, while responding to inquiries and maintaining confidential case files.

You will mentor managers on performance feedback, review documentation for clarity and tone, and escalate high-risk matters as needed. Strong HR generalist experience and knowledge of employment law are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive HR generalist experience including employee relations, performance management, and investigations.
• 1+ years drafting or administering PIPs, counsels, or related HR documentation.
• HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional leadership and onsite managers to develop, draft, and administer PIPs and corrective actions, ensuring policy alignment.
• Track timelines and milestones for PIPs and actions to meet deadlines.
• Coach managers on delivering performance feedback and difficult conversations.
