Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to support investigations, policy guidance, and data reporting across New Jersey. You will partner with HR leaders to triage cases, interview participants, and draft clear reports with actionable recommendations.

The role supports site Human Resources, coaches managers, and develops educational materials while preserving confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Hybrid work with statewide travel is involved.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field; three to five years general Human Resources experience; at least three years directly managing complex employee relations issues
• Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws including ADA/ADAAA, ADEA, Civil Rights Act and FMLA
• HIPAA privacy laws understanding
• Experience with HR software (HR Acuity, PeopleSoft) and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills
• Excellent communication, data presentation and investigations reporting abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to HR Partners and Managers on policies, laws and regulations
• Triage cases by risk and urgency, conduct interviews and gather documents
• Prepare investigatory reports with findings and recommendations
• Enter and manage data in HR Acuity per policy
• Develop educational materials and deliver training to stakeholders
• Present findings in workshops and committee meetings
• Maintain confidentiality and collaborate with HR leadership and counsel
• Stay current with applicable laws and internal standards
