Job summary

Our client in Paarl is seeking a proactive and skilled HR Officer with a focus on Employee Relations. You will manage employee grievances, conduct investigations, and help enforce fair HR policies in a collaborative environment.

Working closely with line managers, you will advise on disciplinary procedures, performance management, and ensuring legal compliance with South Africa's labour laws. This role offers development in HR law and a balanced, hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of HR experience with focus on employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA).
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and mediating disputes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve employee grievances and disputes in a fair and timely manner.
• Conduct thorough investigations into misconduct, policy violations, and workplace conflicts.
• Advise line managers on disciplinary procedures, performance management, and legal compliance.
• Develop strategies to promote positive employee relations and constructive workplace culture.
• Keep abreast of changes in labor law and ensure HR policies comply.
