This position provides Employee Relations (ER) consultant services for the McKesson Specialty Provider Organization, including The US Oncology Network and Intrafusion, under the direction of the Manager, Employee Relations. The role involves consulting with HR practitioners and managers on employee issues, proactively responding, and handling employee relations matters to avoid escalation, mitigate risk, and ensure timely resolution. Responsibilities include managing ER hotline calls, reviewing involuntary terminations with HR prior to execution, and engaging with legal as appropriate. The role also involves investigating ER matters, ensuring compliance with policies and legal trends, and maintaining ER metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee ER issues reported through the hotline, assign investigations, ensure documentation, and escalate complex cases.
  2. Conduct separation review processes for involuntary terminations, including documentation review and legal consultation.
  3. Partner with HR for unemployment claims management.
  4. Collaborate on projects with Compliance, Learning and Development, and Shared Services.
  5. Work with HR and practice leadership to address performance issues and advise on performance management.
  6. Guide on ADA, Religion, and PWFA accommodations, working with local HR teams.
  7. Stay current on ER legal matters and maintain ER metrics.
Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • At least 2 years in Human Resources and 4+ years in Employee Relations.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of employment law and ER best practices.
  • Experience in investigations, documentation, and involuntary termination reviews.
  • Ability to manage hotline calls and work within a matrix organization.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
