OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations Specialist (ERS) to join our dynamic human resources team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering positive employee relations, maintaining a healthy work environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. This position requires a combination of interpersonal skills, conflict resolution expertise, and a deep understanding of HR best practices.
This is a hybrid position, reporting to our office in Horsham, PA, three days per week. This position offers a competitive salary, an annual bonus, benefits starting on day one, and a company-matched 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, complaint resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as complaint logs, investigation files, and disciplinary records.
- Provide coaching and consultation to managers on performance management, policy interpretation, and issue resolution.
- Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; support audits and represent the company in unemployment hearings.
- Support the development and implementation of employee relations policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Analyze employee relations data, including exit interview feedback and ER trends, to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and engagement efforts, including New Hire Orientation and site-specific employee events.
- Assist with broader HR initiatives such as community outreach, mentorship programs, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience required; experience in talent management and/or within Finance or Mortgage Operations strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and partner with employees and senior leaders at all levels.
- Strong communication skills, including listening, verbal, and written abilities.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and provide training to support performance and development.
- Skilled in resolving complex employee relations issues using sound judgment, creativity, and knowledge of employment law.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration:
- Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) is a plus.
