ArborWorks, LLC is seeking an Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist for the Oakhurst, CA area. The role is full-time and will function in a hybrid or in-office environment with multi-state responsibilities and oversight of leave administration, investigations, and labor relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, leave administration, and HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law and multi-state HR compliance.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and preparing written findings.
• Experience administering ADA accommodations and complex leave programs.
• Experience supporting union environments and grievance administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for employee relations matters, including performance management, attendance, policy interpretation, corrective action, and termination guidance.
• Coach and advise managers on performance, conduct, documentation standards, and progressive discipline processes.
• Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial workplace investigations with findings and recommendations.
• Support union grievance processes and coordination with CBAs and labor relations.
• Coordinate and manage multi-state and ADA leave programs and accommodations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee matters.
• Collaborate with operations leadership, HR, legal counsel, and employees to support compliance and policy enforcement.
• Assist with HR audits, onboarding/offboarding, and documentation management.
