Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead high-performance teams on diverse commercial construction projects. You will manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk while coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project success.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in leadership roles with PM experience overseeing large, complex projects and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role.
  • Five (5) of those years in Project Manager or leadership roles overseeing multiple large projects.
  • Completed classes or training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in developing high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors on risk, timetables, costs, and change management.
  • Determine scope of work and deliverables for projects.
  • Determine staffing requirements and establish work plans and schedules for each phase.
  • Prepare bid package components including manuals and descriptions.
  • Manage CM bid process and post-bid reviews; participate in hard bid teams as needed.
  • Clarify project goals related to schedule, safety, accounting, labor relations, EEO, and data reporting.
  • Maintain client relationships to understand facility needs from contract through warranty period.
  • Manage owner communications on risks, schedules, budgets, and logistics.
  • Coordinate planning services (estimating, scheduling, value engineering, reporting) with Project Planning Leader.
  • Oversee processing of project documents related to contracts, bulletins, field orders, and change orders.
  • Ensure delivery of services by Christman team and contracted trades to meet client expectations.
  • Establish subcontract agreements; align expectations on planning, coordination, safety, and quality.
  • Communicate expectations and performance in documents and meetings (pre-bid, post-bid, etc.).
  • Lead trade contractor relations and keep team informed of status.
