Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Project Superintendent for the DC Metro/Northern Virginia region. You will lead on-site activities, coordinate with the project team and trades, and ensure safety and quality standards on a major commercial project.

Ideal candidates have a strong construction leadership background, ability to manage multiple trades, and a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction leadership experience.
• Training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company on site daily, set expectations, and maintain commitments.
• Review docs for constructability and develop options to improve efficiency.
• Plan site logistics, safety program, and address hazards.
• Coordinate with PM, client, and trade partners to develop and execute work plans.
• Manage subcontractor schedules and ensure timely completion per the project schedule.
• Approve subcontractor timesheets for extra work.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field

Equivalent combination of education and experience
