Job summary

Recology Eel River in Fortuna, CA seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead routes, assign personnel, and monitor daily operations ensuring timely service and safety compliance.

You will analyze routes, manage staffing, and coordinate with drivers to resolve issues, while maintaining records, addressing inquiries, and ensuring adherence to company policies and collective bargaining agreements. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Management experience in waste/recycling, transportation, production and logistics operations or related field.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Principles of employee training, supervision, and evaluation.
• Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Assigns employees to routes and pickups to balance workload and ensures timely services.
• Monitors route completions and analyzes routing changes.
• Enforces safety policies and reviews collection practices.
• Resolves customer service problems with drivers and handles inquiries and complaints.
• Manages time records and attendance; provides timely feedback.
• Drives trucks as needed.
• Ensures adherence to policies and collective bargaining agreements.
