Job summary

Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) in Denver seeks a Structural Vertical Designer to join the Structural team.

The role focuses on analysis, design, and detailing of commercial and residential structures using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber, with REVIT Structure and other software. Qualified candidates hold an associate degree in civil engineering, knowledge of applicable codes, and experience with REVIT Structure; a Colorado PE or path to licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in civil engineering with emphasis on structural analysis and design.
• Knowledge of structural steel design, reinforced concrete design, CMU, timber.
• Proficiency with REVIT Structure to produce construction documents.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, NDS codes.
• Willingness to travel for meetings and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Structural analysis, design, and detailing of commercial and residential elements.
• Prepare calculation packages using RISA, RAM, Tekla Tedds.
• Produce models and documents in Autodesk REVIT.
• Review shop drawings and submittals during construction administration.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on large projects.
