Job summary

SEH in Denver, CO is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our employee-owned team. You will design, analyze, and detail structural systems for commercial and residential projects, using REVIT and industry codes.

You will prepare calculations with RISA, RAM, Tekla Tedds, and collaborate closely with multi-discipline teams. Travel is occasional; CO license (or ability to obtain in 6 months) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with structural emphasis.
• Understanding of basic structural engineering concepts.
• PE license in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Working experience with REVIT Structure to produce construction documents.
• Knowledge of structural steel design, reinforced concrete design, CMU, and/or timber design; familiar with RISA/RAM/LPile.
• Familiar with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, NDS design codes.
• Must have valid driver's license; own transportation for day trips.
• Willingness to travel for team meetings and on-site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of commercial and residential elements.
• Prepare structural calculation packages using RISA, RAM, and Tekla Tedds.
• Work as part of the structural design team on large, complex projects.
• Use REVIT to produce structural models and construction documents.
• Adhere to IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, PCI, NDS design codes.
• Write or compile specifications for structural elements.
• Create quantity take-offs and cost estimates for structural elements.
• Review shop drawings and submittals during construction administration.
• Collaborate with teammates and other groups on multi-discipline projects.
