Job summary

Amsted Automotive in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to manage plant upkeep and safety programs. You will lead maintenance planning, execute work orders, and optimize preventive maintenance on critical production assets.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in plant maintenance, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to lift heavy loads and work overtime as needed. Join a team dedicated to reliability in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant maintenance.
• Excellent problem solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication with workforce, suppliers and customers.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• Manual dexterity to lift up to 80 pounds frequently.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with noise exposure.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with plant personnel to maintain a safety incident-free environment.
• Initiate maintenance work orders and prepare cost justifications for major repairs.
• Enhance the preventive maintenance program for critical production assets.
• Perform feasibility reviews, implement improvements, and monitor project status.
• Maintain equipment, servicing, and safety records.
• Ensure maintenance staff are competent and properly utilized.
• Prepare and present monthly goals, metrics, and corrective actions.
• Maintain safe procedures and 5S practices at all times.
• Prepare schedules for maintenance and select engineering projects.
• Maintain/revise OSHA Safety Plans and provide safety training.
