Responsibilities

• Coordinates maintenance and repair work with the production staff in process areas.
• Ensures QA policies are implemented by maintenance personnel.
• Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment.
• Monitors spare parts and maintenance supplies; initiates reorders when needed.
• Prepares reports and analyzes data to improve plant operations.
• Assists with hiring of maintenance personnel.
• Tracks asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, and schedule adherence.
• Ensures compliance with city, county, state, and federal regulations related to maintenance.
• Communicates effectively with maintenance technicians about issues.
• Keeps safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental practices up to date.

We are looking to add a Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift to our Taylor, Michigan team!

What You’ll Do

Primary Function Summary

• Communicates directly with the production department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
• Communicates directly with QA department to ensure effective participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
• Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
• Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain and repairs maintenance shop equipment.
• Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
• Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
• Assists with hiring of maintenance personnel.
• Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
• Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met all times.
• Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices, such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
