Job summary

Proto Gage Tool & Die Inc. in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of the facility, presses and production equipment. This role requires hands-on maintenance leadership and a focus on reliability.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, document tasks in PLEX, and lead the maintenance department while ensuring safety standards are met. Forklift/crane/scissor lift operation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a stamping facility.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Background in electronic control systems and production stamping equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the building, presses and equipment.
• Perform all preventive maintenance tasks.
• Repair presses, light curtains, feeders, and related machinery.
• Document PM tasks and repairs in PLEX.
• Operate forklift, crane and scissor lift as needed.
• Organize and lead the maintenance department.
• Adhere to safety procedures including lockout/tagout and electrical safe work practices.
• Communicate and follow directions from management; support company goals.

Proto Gage Tool & Die Inc. is a mid sized stamping facility located in Sterling Heights, MI. We are looking to fill the position, Maintenance Manager. This person will be responsible for:Maintenance of the building, presses and equipment.Preforming all equipment PM tasks.Preforming repairs to equipment (presses, light curtains, feeders, etc.).Documenting PM tasks and repairs in PLEX.Able to operate forklift, crane and scissor lift.Organizing the maintenance departmentAdhering to all safety Procedures including lockout/tagout and electrical safe work practices.Ability to listen and follow direction from management.Ability to work well with others.Support company goals and objectives.Minimum of 2 years of experience preforming maintenance at a stamping facility.Must have a back round in electronic control systems and production stamping equipment.Must have strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.Must have experience with hydraulic and nematic systems.
