Barringer Construction, LLC in Asheville, NC is seeking a Safety Manager to lead on-site safety programs across western North Carolina and the upstate of South Carolina. You will deliver toolbox talks, enforce PPE standards, conduct safety orientations, and monitor on-site safety performance.

Qualifications

4 year college degree in construction or safety program, or 4 years of related construction/safety experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction plans and product specification sheets.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence; effectively present information.

Responsibilities

This position will cover projects in western NC and the upstate of SC.
Distribute weekly toolbox talks on relevant topics for our types of construction.
Educate workers about company safety policy and procedures.
Establish, monitor and enforce PPE standards.
Conduct site safety orientations and kick-offs.
Monitor safety performance of on-site personnel and workers.
Perform periodic inspections of equipment and tools.
Investigate accidents and near misses and write detailed reports.
Conduct jobsite safety audits 3-4x/year.
Communicate safety standards during walkthroughs and debrief with supervisors.
Promote safe practices and recognize safe behavior.
Investigate all accidents/near misses and conduct job hazard analyses.
Address employee safety concerns timely.
