Job summary

Technical Metal Specialties Inc. in New Berlin, WI is seeking a Robotic Programmer/Welder to create, modify, and maintain robotic weld programs on production weldments, while performing manual welding as needed.

The role requires knowledge of robotic weld programming, GMAW welding and safety in a manufacturing setting. Starting wage is $26.00 per hour with full-time hours Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm, and comprehensive benefits including PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or HSED required.
• GMAW welding certification required.
• Six months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Knowledge of robotic programming and welding principles.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain robotic weld programs on the shop floor.
• Access robotic weld programs and execute work orders according to specifications.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct robotic weld process errors.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, jigs, and consumables as specified in programs and orders.
• Fit and position weldments using fixtures and jigs.
• Adjust manual welding within defined WPS ranges to ensure proper penetration and weld quality.
• Use basic measuring tools to verify work.
• Follow procedures to meet process, final inspection, and testing requirements.
• Complete required company quality system procedures, training, and qualification testing.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area while following safety standards.
