Job summary

Border States, Saint George, UT, seeks a Project Manager to lead strategic planning, coordination, and execution of complex customer projects. You will interpret specifications, align vendors, and manage pricing within guidelines for profitable delivery.

You will collaborate with account teams, drive schedules, and monitor risks to ensure on-time completion while maintaining high customer satisfaction and compliance with company goals.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
• 3+ years of prior customer service, quotation or sales experience with strong knowledge of electrical products and utility systems preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and make decisions on complex project and technical issues.
• Experience managing project financials, pricing strategies, and vendor negotiations.
• Proven ability to interpret technical specifications and develop project execution strategies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of product lines and applications, alternate product substitutes, and supplier pricing policies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Account Managers, Business Development Managers and sales staff to develop project execution strategies.
• Oversees projects with substations, power transmission, wind/solar energy, data Telco, HV industrial, commercial, or residential work.
• Monitors customer-support activities and directs issue resolution aligned with project requirements.
• Develops and manages project schedules, adjusting plans for evolving risks and needs.
• Evaluates vendor performance and negotiates pricing and delivery terms within guidelines.
• Manages all financials related to the project to maintain profit margins.
• Ensures timely delivery and coordination with all stakeholders to meet deadlines.
