Job summary

Absher Construction in the United States (Lancaster County, Ephrata) seeks a Project Engineer to support field and office operations. You’ll partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure quality delivery, with hands-on responsibility and a clear growth path into leadership.

You’ll help manage daily coordination, budgeting, compliance, and communications from start-up through closeout, while promoting site safety and teamwork on a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or construction certificate program.
• 3–5 years of relevant construction experience.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, documentation, and safety standards.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with scheduling and project management tools.
• Able to read and interpret plans, specs, and submittals.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable handling confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and accountability for meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project planning, integration, and completion of assigned scopes.
• Prepare and manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and material procurement.
• Lead on-site engineering activities and maintain liaison with design teams and clients.
• Attend project meetings and support owner meetings with project management.
• Assist in preparing project status reports and closeout documentation.
• Review design documents for compliance with engineering and contract requirements.
• Monitor technical progress, testing, and resolution of design and construction issues.
• Track and manage costs to ensure alignment with project budgets.
• Promote and support site safety efforts through personal actions and team mentorship.
