Job summary

Absher Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support field and office operations from project start-up through closeout in the Greater Wenatchee area. You’ll partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure quality project delivery and growth into leadership roles.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of construction experience, a related degree or construction certificate, strong plan-reading skills, and comfort with scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or construction certificate).
• 3–5 years of construction experience.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, documentation, and safety standards.
• Able to read and interpret plans, specs, and submittals.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with scheduling and project management tools.
• Excellent time management and accountability for meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project planning, integration, and completion of assigned scopes.
• Prepare and manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and material procurement.
• Lead on-site engineering activities and liaise with design teams and clients.
• Attend project meetings and support owner meetings with project management.
• Assist in preparing project status reports and closeout documentation.
• Review design documents for compliance with engineering and contract requirements.
• Monitor progress, testing, and resolution of design and construction issues.
• Track and manage costs to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Promote and support site safety efforts through team mentorship.

What You’ll Do

Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.

Pay Transparency

$80,000 - $110,000 USD

All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment background check and drug screening. Background checks may include verification of employment history, education, criminal records, and references. For positions with access to company financial accounts or credit card programs, a credit history check may also be conducted.
