Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Production Operator for our first shift (6 AM - 2:30 PM, M-F) at our plant. You will load parts, operate automated equipment with PLEX, document production, and ensure quality and efficiency standards are met on each cycle.

Strong reading of instructions and good communication are essential. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 6 months manufacturing experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret operator instructions, inspection sheets, and quality alerts.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• May require lifting up to 30 pounds.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Load component parts into automated assembly and record production using standard check sheets.
• Escalate machine or part quality issues to Team Leaders or Supervisors.
• Maintain documentation of inspection results and non-conformances.
• Keep work area clean and organized; support audits as needed.
• Cross-train on various work centers as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
