Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing, payroll tax, or payroll compliance experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Experience with payroll tax filings, payroll notices, and agency communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple client payrolls and deadlines.
• Professional, service-oriented communication style.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple small and mid-sized client businesses.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and municipal payroll regulations.
• Support multi-state payroll and remote employee payroll compliance.
• Prepare and support payroll tax filings.
• Register clients with applicable payroll tax agencies.
• Handle payroll tax notices, agency correspondence, and resolution support.
• Prepare W-2, W-3, 1099, and year-end payroll forms.
• Review benefit and fringe benefit taxability.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Answer client payroll questions clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with CPAs, accountants, and advisors on payroll-related issues.
• Support payroll-related general ledger entries and reconciliations as needed.
