Job summary

SEH is seeking an employee-owned surveying professional to support field surveys across boundary, topographic, and construction projects in the St. Paul area. You will assist with data reduction, terrain modeling, and drafting of survey documents.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, be able to work independently in varying weather, and be willing to travel as needed. This role emphasizes collaboration with project teams in an employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to work overtime as project schedules require.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field surveys across multiple project types, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Support data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation.
• Prepare right-of-way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and other survey‑related documents.
• Assist with drafting and survey computations.
• Collaborate with project teams while maintaining the ability to work independently in the field.
• Travel as needed to support project demands.
