Job summary

SEH is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our civil team in Saint Paul, MN. You will contribute to municipal roadway and utility projects in the field and office, building skills in construction observation, surveying, and AutoCAD while collaborating with project managers and clients.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers in an employee-owned culture that values growth, mentorship, and real-world impact on communities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Able and willing to report to the office and nearby civil construction sites during the summer 2027 season.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Completed or currently enrolled in engineering-related coursework.
• Interested in municipal engineering and/or land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Support field staff by assisting with on-site construction observation, surveying, and staking.
• Assist project managers and engineers with project development and design tasks, maintaining clear communication with staff, contractors and clients.
• Accurately draft project information using AutoCAD and related software.
