Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Pontiac, MI is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to maintain and upgrade plant electrical systems, fixtures, and wiring in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, plan layouts, train apprentices, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance with local and national codes while supporting ESOP-driven safety and teamwork culture.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience as an industrial electrician (required).
• State Licensed Electrician / Journeyman Card holder (preferred).
• Minimum of three years’ experience working in manufacturing environments as an Industrial Electrician (required).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per local and national codes.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using testing tools to locate causes of breakdowns.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring based on job specs and codes; read blueprints.
