Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Industrial Electrician for the Pontiac, MI plant to install, test, and maintain electrical systems across manufacturing spaces. The role requires reading blueprints, trouble-shooting with test equipment, and ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma with four years of industrial electrician experience and a state license/journeyman card preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of industrial electrician experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently for safety and instructions.
• State licensed electrician or journeyman card is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures per code.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and locate causes of breakdown.
• Inspect systems for hazards and compliance with building and safety codes.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring based on blueprints and local codes.
• Direct and train apprentices to install or repair electrical wiring.
• Provide cost estimates for materials and services.
