Job summary

Cramer Fish Sciences in Portland, Oregon is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to support employees and leaders across all locations. You will help deliver accessible, compliant, and people-centered HR services, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee communications.

In partnership with the HR Manager, you will maintain consistent employee experience, manage HRIS/records, and assist with leave, compliance, and employee relations to

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of HR experience with exposure to recruitment, LOA, benefits, compliance and employee relations.
• Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
• Experience in a multi-location environment preferred.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP/PHR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for HR inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Support recruitment by posting positions, coordinating interviews, and preparing offers.
• Coordinate onboarding and benefits enrollment, ensure documentation, and assist first-day logistics.
• Administer benefits enrollments, changes, and maintain records per regulations.
• Administer LOA programs, track timelines and documentation.
• Partner with Payroll/Finance to maintain HRIS and employee records.
• Maintain compliant employee files and training records.
• Support employee relations and training activities.
