Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support technical information flow on construction projects in Texas. You will assist with drawings, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes while maintaining professional relations with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

This role includes progression through steps I–Senior, with growth in skills and experience on larger, complex projects.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks; assist with or review submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasting.
• Ensure timely generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval and disposition of meeting agendas, RFIs and daily reports.
• Administer the project quality management plan and reinforce a safety culture on the project.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work; participate in risk management and cost control.
• Oversee BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers when required.
• Documentation and submittal for LEED certification and creating/updating Digital Record Drawings (ORD).
• Provide lines, grades and layout as required; maintain an organized logbook.
• Support superintendents and assist in resolving field problems as necessary.
