Job summary

WYATT is seeking an Estimating Manager to oversee cost estimating and preconstruction for industrial projects. You will lead bid strategy, review labor productivity, subcontractor pricing, and risk assessment while partnering with engineering, operations, procurement, and business development to win profitable work.

The role also includes mentoring estimating professionals and driving cost database improvements to support successful project execution within our employee-owned organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of construction estimating, preconstruction, or project management experience.
• Experience in industrial and power construction environments.
• Experience leading estimating teams and managing multiple bid opportunities.
• Experience with Lump Sum, Fixed Fee, and Time & Material contracts.
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, labor productivity analysis, indirect cost modeling, and project execution planning.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, structural, civil, piping, electrical, and process systems in industrial facilities.
• Ability to evaluate subcontractor markets, supply-chain conditions, and regional construction trends.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, collaboration, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and delivery of construction cost estimates and competitive proposals.
• Develop bid strategies and evaluate project risks.
• Collaborate with business development, engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
• Present estimates to executive leadership and clients.
• Mentor estimating professionals and improve estimating processes and cost databases.
