Job summary

Cerris Builders is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project team in Operations and Field Operations and to assist the estimating team in preparing budgets and bid proposals.

The role involves creating project management documentation, coordinating with owners and subcontractors, performing quantity takeoffs, and supporting cost estimates for bidding. This position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate with and function well within a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn new computer programs for project management / estimating / reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

• Creates project management documentation including schedules, cost tracking, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
• Coordinates with owners, vendors, crews, subcontractors, architects to ensure timely project completion.
• Conducts workplace inspections for quantity, quality, and safety compliance.
• Develops operations and maintenance manuals and as-builts.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
