Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to ensure accurate posting of customer payments and maintain AR records. This role collaborates with AR, Collections, and Finance to resolve discrepancies and support cash flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years in cash applications or AR, accounting, or related field.
• Experience processing and reconciling high volumes of payments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply customer payments via ACH, wires, checks, and lockbox.
• Post payments accurately and timely to customer accounts.
• Research unapplied, unidentified, or misapplied cash.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts with bank deposits.
• Maintain detailed documentation for cash application activities.
• Process adjustments, write-offs, and transfers per policy.
• Reconcile balances and investigate discrepancies.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules and reports.
• Assist with month-end closing related to cash receipts and AR.
• Maintain ERP customer records and audit readiness.
• Support testing and implementation of accounting systems.
