Job summary

National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is seeking an Employee Engagement & Learning Specialist to coordinate onboarding, professional development, engagement, wellness, recognition, and internal communications.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Human Resources, you will design onboarding experiences, support engagement initiatives, and manage learning calendars in NCCPA’s hybrid environment at the Johns Creek headquarters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HRM, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • At least four years of progressive experience in employee development, engagement, training, people operations, HR, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance fundamentals.
  • Experience facilitating/in-person and virtual training; evaluating options.
  • Experience with HRIS and LMS systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Traliant, or similar.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate onboarding experiences, including orientation, resources, agendas, and learning pathways.
  • Develop initiatives to strengthen engagement, culture, and retention in NCCPA’s hybrid environment.
  • Coordinate recognition, wellness, and engagement programs, including service awards.
  • Support annual engagement surveys, check-ins, and action planning from feedback.
  • Coordinate and facilitate learning programs: workshops, webinars, lunch-and-learns, required trainings.
  • Maintain training calendars, attendance, completion records, and learning documentation.
  • Evaluate programs via surveys, feedback, and metrics.
  • Partner with managers and SMEs to identify development needs.
  • Research training vendors and serve as a resource for development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain employee-facing HR communications across intranet, newsletters, SharePoint.

Established as a not-for-profit organization in 1974, we are dedicated to assuring the public that board certified PAs meet established standards of clinical knowledge and cognitive skills upon entry into practice and throughout their careers. How Will You Make a Difference? You will…
  • Design and coordinate a welcoming and effective onboarding experience, including new hire orientation, resources, agendas, and learning pathways.

  • Evaluate learning and engagement programs through surveys, assessments, feedback, and program metrics.
  • Partner with managers, subject matter experts, and committees to identify employee and organizational development needs.
  • Research training vendors and serve as a resource for employees and managers seeking professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain employee-facing HR communications and content across the intranet, SharePoint, newsletters, announcements, and other communication channels.
Hard Skills You Will Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or related field. Experience in lieu of education will be considered as well.
  • At least four years of progressive experience in employee development, engagement, training, people operations, human resources, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance fundamentals.
  • Experience facilitating and/or coordinating both in-person and virtual training and evaluating training options and alternatives.
  • Experience with HRIS and LMS systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Traliant, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

  • Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives, onboarding programs, or workplace operations.
  • Training or HR-related specialized credentials.
  • Knowledge of adult learning approaches, theories, and curriculum development.

Location: NCCPA is a hybrid work environment with our headquarters located in Johns Creek, Georgia. NCCPA has determined that the telecommuting status of this position is hybrid, which means that employees in hybrid positions are allowed to split their work hours between working remotely and working onsite at the NCCPA headquarters. The duties of this position require that the candidate report on-site to the Johns Creek headquarters, at minimum, on a weekly basis and live within the commutable distance. NCCPA has defined commutable distance as within the State of Georgia and within 85 miles of ground transportation, one-way between an employee’s primary residence and the NCCPA headquarters in Johns Creek, Georgia.
