Job summary

AEO in Pittsburgh is seeking a Manager - Corporate Communications, Events & Experience to design a cohesive internal communications strategy, build memorable company events, and champion initiatives that boost engagement and inclusivity across the associate population.

Partnering with HR, this role shapes the employee lifecycle from day one to major milestones, aligning teams with AEO’s Better Together culture and business priorities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in internal communications or marketing in a corporate setting.
• Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English or a related field.
• Proven leadership in managing large-scale events and engagement and leading communication strategy.
• Experience as a people leader—coaching and performance management.
• Experience with internal communications platforms and intranet systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; editorial writing ability.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Strong cross-functional communication across channels.

Responsibilities

• Culture Keeper: design and execute a culture and engagement strategy and calendar with association recognition and events.
• Engaging Events: plan and manage end-to-end events including venue, vendors, budget, and post-event wrap-up.
• Internal Storytelling: develop strategic internal comms to inform, align, and connect with AEO’s culture and EVP.
• Content Creation: produce multimedia content for internal channels to captivate audiences.
• Associate Experience: collaborate with HR to enhance the onboarding and milestone experiences.
• Recognition & Appreciation: drive quarterly recognitions and milestone celebrations.
• Project Management, Coaching & Influence: manage multiple projects and mentor the Coordinator.
