Job description

People & Culture Team, Full Time, Hourly, Reports to the Chief People and Culture Officer

Job Summary: Help shape the employee experience!

At HOALiving, we build better communities, and that starts with the people who make our work possible. We are looking for an Employee Experience Coordinator who is energized by getting to know our team, helping people feel seen and making it easier for them to succeed.

You will help set the tone for the employee experience through relationships, recognition, communication and thoughtful events. Working closely with our Chief People & Culture Officer (CPO), you will connect what employees are experiencing with our larger People & Culture strategy and help turn that insight into meaningful action that supports employee satisfaction and retention of top talent.

Why HOALiving:

We invest in our people and want HOALiving to be a place where you can build a career. In this role, you will help create the same sense of connection and support that we want you to experience as a member of our team. You’ll also enjoy the following:

  • Generous paid time off from day one
  • 17 paid holidays each year, including your birthday, eligible from day one
  • Medical, dental, vision and life coverage
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • A team and leadership structure that supports your growth
  • Opportunities to connect through employee events, recognition and community service

We are HOALiving STARs. Our core values guide how we work and how we treat people: Solution Based, Team Focused, Accountable and Respectful. Alignment with these values is a requirement of every role at HOALiving.

Our Ideal Candidate:

You are personable, approachable and able to build relationships and trust quickly. You are curious about people, listen well and notice the details that help someone feel recognized and supported. You enjoy planning a great event, and you bring that same energy to learning what employees are facing, where they need support and what deserves to be celebrated.

What you’ll do:
  • Build relationships across teams and offices to understand employee experiences, successes and opportunities for support
  • Identify employee stories and achievements, coordinate meaningful recognition and track anniversaries and important life events
  • Bring employee feedback, recurring themes and ideas to the CPO to help inform priorities and connect employee needs with the broader People & Culture strategy
  • Help develop and execute employee support and engagement programs, gather feedback and recommend improvements
  • Plan and coordinate employee activities, parties and company events, including logistics, communication, supplies, budgets and follow-up across the entire organization, executing all details in Northern Utah offices
  • Support HOALiving Gives initiatives through promotion, participation and event coordination
  • Create employee communications, announcements, bulletin boards and presentation materials that keep people informed and highlight their contributions
  • Manage project timelines and action items, maintain employee lists and directories and track program expenses
  • Coordinate office decorating, event purchases and work-related errands, and provide administrative support for People & Culture projects
  • Handle employee information with discretion, maintain appropriate documentation and follow through on commitments
What you bring:
  • An associate degree, equivalent relevant work experience or at least two years of experience supporting people, coordinating programs or events or managing related projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening and the ability to connect with people across different roles and backgrounds
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization and accuracy, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams, and comfort learning new tools
  • Basic knowledge of event and project budgeting
  • Resourcefulness, sound judgment and a willingness to take initiative
  • Integrity, confidentiality, respect, flexibility and a good sense of humor

HOA industry knowledge is helpful but not required. Relevant experience may come from employee engagement, human resources, hospitality, communications, administrative support or event coordination.
