Job summary

Weber State University is seeking an Employee Engagement & Success Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute campus HR initiatives, improving the employee experience. The role bridges HR and the campus community, collaborating with leaders and employees at all levels to train, engage, and develop talent.

The position leads the Employee Engagement and Success team and the Search Advocate program, with duties including training, engaging with search committees, and other supervisory tasks.

Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Employee Engagement & Success Manager is responsible for facilitating the planning, coordinating, and execution of campus-serving human resource (HR) initiatives that align with our overall HR mission of improving the employee experience. Serving as a key bridge builder and liaison between HR and the broader campus community, this well-rounded leader actively builds positive relationships across campus to support departments and teams. This individual will navigate large-scale HR plans, positively represent the HR department, and effectively collaborate with leaders and employees of all backgrounds. Interactions will range from collaborating with leadership to coaching and training employees at all levels. Expected areas of involvement include employee training initiatives, coordinating HR-sponsored campus events, facilitating effective campus-wide communication, and working with leadership to address large-scale employee needs.

This position will be responsible for creatively engaging campus employees through the various initiatives listed above. It is expected that this individual will naturally connect with people, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to build trust, foster collaboration, and facilitate both short- and long-term HR projects. This role requires proven expertise in program development—specifically the ability to build and launch new initiatives, engage key stakeholders, and assemble effective teams for execution—with a heavy emphasis on talent development, employee coaching, and campus-wide training.

This position oversees the Employee Engagement and Success team and the Search Advocate program, continuing to expand their positive impact across campus. This will include the need to be involved in all levels of these programs, including performing training, engaging with search committees, and performing other duties alongside the individuals who will be supervised.

This position will report directly to the AVP for Human Resources.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Four years related experience that includes coaching, training, project management, or program development
  • Experience in Instructional Design
