Job Summary/Basic Function:
Provides leadership and oversight for the Office of Mentoring Programs under the direction of the Executive Director for Student Retention & Success. The Associate Director is responsible for the development, coordination, assessment, and continuous improvement of campus-wide mentoring initiatives that support student engagement, belonging, persistence, leadership development, career readiness, and other high-impact educational practices.
The Associate Director leads the day-to-day operations of the Office of Mentoring Programs, including supervision of professional and student staff, management of departmental resources, and implementation of departmental priorities. This position collaborates with academic colleges, student support areas, and campus partners to strengthen mentoring practices, peer educator development, and relationship-centered student support across the university.
The Associate Director serves as the department's lead for university-wide mentoring consultation, mentoring assessment, cross-campus mentoring initiatives, and mentoring-related high-impact educational practices while supporting the continued growth and effectiveness of mentoring initiatives at Weber State University.
