Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines offers an internship in internal communications and employee engagement. You’ll help create meaningful content, publish across print, web, newsletters and social channels, and support culture initiatives.

Work with our communications team to plan, partner with business units, and develop skills in writing, analytics and multimedia content for our changing workplace.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or similar field of study.
• An excellent communicator, both written and verbally.
• A team player, who can also accomplish tasks independently.
• A creative thinker, who can apply creative problem solving when needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and .Outlook.
• Experience with WordPress is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with graphic design, video editing and photography software is a plus, but not required.

• Creating. Act as resident photographer for Bank events and help create video and other multimedia for internal communication channels.

Compensation Range:

Hourly: $22.00 - $22.00

This compensation range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
