Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking a motivated individual pursuing or having completed a degree in Finance, Marketing, or Data Analytics to assist Relationship Managers with business development and data-driven insights.

The role emphasizes learning data management and visualization tools (Power BI) and supporting with marketing campaigns in Adobe Marketo, while coordinating meetings with regulators and members.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop a deeper understanding of member processes using written and oral communication and various software tools.
• Use Power BI to support Relationship Managers with business development and identify opportunities.
• Research collateral and market announcements affecting members' credit risk using Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, and rating agency sites.
• Assist Relationship Managers with Credit Sales calls, coordinating meetings with regulators, members, and other parties.
• Develop agendas and finalize materials to support meetings.
• Update outreach materials for prospective and current members and regulator meetings.
• Update systems with member contact data, document sales calls, and follow up activities.
• Provide standard and ad hoc reporting to internal and external audiences.
• Provide reporting analytics for marketing KPIs.
• Build and report marketing automation campaigns within Adobe Marketo.
• Provide ad hoc marketing support for relationship managers.

Accountabilities:

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deeper understanding of FHLB Des Moines Relationship member process using a written and oral communication skills and assortment of software tools.

• Become fully immersed in data management systems and visualization tools like Power BI in order to support Relationship Managers with business development activities to determine opportunities that leverage a member’s capacity and to help the Relationship Managers anticipate maturities or changes in advance usage.

• Learn how to use tools that support Relationship Managers with business development in order to do research on collateral, headlines that impact our members, sourcing financial announcements that would impact our member’s credit risk (resources would be Bloomberg, S&P Capita IQ, and Rating agency websites, ).

• Assist Relationship Managers with Credit Sales calls coordinating and scheduling meetings with regulators, members and interested parties.

• Develop agenda and finalize materials that support the agenda.

• Update Outreach materials that can be used for prospective and current members and also utilized for regulator meetings.

• Updating systems with member contact data, documenting sales calls and executing follow up activities.

• Provide standard and ad hoc reporting to internal and external audiences.

• Reporting analytics for marketing communication KPIs.

• Building and reporting marketing automation campaigns within Adobe Marketo.

• Ad Hoc marketing support for the relationship managers.

Qualifications:

• Working towards a graduate or undergraduate degree or recent graduate in Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics or similar field of study.

• Proficient with MS Office tools and able to learn other software that support the team.

• Ability to work effectively in an environment of tight deadlines and constant change.

• Skills in data management, reporting, and visualization tools.

• Effective written communicator as a large percent is over email and is high-level external contacts.

Compensation Range:

Hourly: $22.00 - $22.00

This compensation range represents the Bank's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
