Job summary

SDI Staffing seeks an Employee Benefits Assistant Account Manager for a retail agency/brokerage in San Diego's Mission Valley. Full-time, mostly in-office with remote Mondays/Fridays after training. Salary $25–$28/hour, with benefits.

Requires CA residency, Life/Health license or ability to obtain; two years related experience preferred, training available. No visa sponsorship. Strong customer service, math/analytical skills, and Proficiency in EASE and MS Office are expected.

• The ideal candidate has exceptional customer service skills and can assist the Producer in servicing clients.
• Experience with EASE software in a broker/agency setting is preferred.
• Must be willing to train and obtain licensure if not already licensed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (spreadsheets, email, PowerPoint).
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of two years related Assistant Account Manager experience in employee benefits is preferred, but training may be provided.

Job description

Employee Benefits Assistant Account Manager needed for a retail agency/brokerage, located in the Mission Valley area of San Diego.

HOURS: Full-time hours; Monday-Friday. 7:00 am – 3:30 pm or 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

DURATION: Direct Hire or Temp-to-possible Hire. Both options being considered.

WORKSITE: Remote work on Mondays and Fridays after 4 – 6 weeks of training in the office, with Fridays remote for those first 4 -6 weeks.

PAY: Depending on experience, $25.00 - $28.00 per hour.

• Ability to work independently and make accurate decisions and demonstrate good judgement.
• Active CA Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License is required for the role.
• If the Assistant AM does not hold a L&H license, they must be able and willing to obtain one ASAP after acceptance of an offer.
• Regular and consistent attendance as defined per Company policy.
• Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Ability to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods as well as the use of office equipment such as fax and copy machines, and telephones.
• May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must possess effective communication and listening skills such that complicated information can be communicated in a straight-forward manner that the listener can understand, as well as paraphrasing and questioning to gain a complete understanding of the speakers concerns and goals.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, set goals and meet deadlines.
• Must be a team player that possesses strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Must have a professional demeanor, be detail oriented, organized, highly ethical and have a positive attitude.
