Job summary

St. Paul’s Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate QMA to join our healthcare team. The part-time, day-shift QMA will administer medications, monitor residents, assist with ADLs, and maintain accurate records to ensure safe, high-quality resident care.

The role requires Indiana QMA certification, knowledge of state regulations, and strong teamwork. Experience in long-term care is preferred; weekend/holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Current QMA certification in Indiana required.
• Experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration practices and state regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor with a service mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers in compliance with state regulations.
• Monitor residents for changes in health, reporting observations to nursing staff or healthcare providers.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration, treatments, and resident care activities.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Support the nursing staff in responding to emergencies and providing prompt care to residents.
• Foster a warm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for residents and their families.
