Job summary

St. Paul’s Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate QM A to join our healthcare team. The QMA administers medications, monitors residents, assists with ADLs, and maintains accurate records to ensure resident safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate holds Indiana QMA certification, has experience in long-term care or assisted living, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork while supporting nursing staff and delivering person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current QMA certification in Indiana.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration and state regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers in compliance with state regulations.
• Monitor residents for changes in health, reporting observations to nursing staff or healthcare providers.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration, treatments, and resident care activities.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Support the nursing staff in responding to emergencies and providing prompt care to residents.
• Foster a warm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for residents and their families.
