Southwest Care Center is seeking a full-time Primary Care Medical Assistant to support our Jefferson Clinic in Albuquerque, NM. You will screen patients, assist nurses and providers, maintain clean exam rooms, and manage referrals while following infection control policies.

The role requires Basic Life Support, 1+ year in a family practice, and experience with Athena EMR. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifikationen

• One year or more direct patient care experience in a family medical practice setting preferred.
• Completion of a medical assisting program or certification highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support required.
• Athena EMR experience preferred.
• Team collaborator and patient advocate in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Screen patients and obtain vital signs per established protocols.
• Provide assistance to nurses and providers as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms and infection control policies.
• Perform phlebotomy/fingerstick as trained.
• Administer injections as trained.
• Accurately schedule/cancel/reschedule appointments.
• Follow up on appointments and patient compliance.
• Understand and maintain infection control procedures.
• Document accurately in the EMR and assist in referrals.
