Job summary

Southwest Care Center in Santa Fe is seeking a full-time Primary Care Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and support positive health outcomes. This role involves assisting healthcare providers, managing patient data, and maintaining clinical equipment.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience, necessary certifications, and a commitment to quality healthcare for underserved communities.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct experience as a Medical Assistant in a Primary Care setting (preferred).
• Certification (CCMA, CMA) preferred.
• High School diploma or GED (required).
• Basic Life Support Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the MA's scope of practice as directed.
• Assist provider, RN, or LPN in the coordination of patient care.
• Manage data and prepare reports for supervisors.
• Perform regular clinical maintenance duties.
• Travel as needed to the various SCC clinics.
• Demonstrate competency in the use and maintenance of biomedical equipment.

Southwest Care Center is a non‑profit, FQHC‑LAL that has served the communities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque for over 25 years. We are currently seeking a full‑time Primary Care Medical Assistant for our Santa Fe Clinic.
