Job summary

Southwest Care Center in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a full-time Primary Care Medical Assistant to join the Santa Fe Clinic. As a key member of the care team, you will provide direct patient care within the MA scope, support providers, and help coordinate patient care.

Two years of direct MA experience in primary care is preferred; CCMA/CMA certification and Basic Life Support are a plus. The role includes travel to SCC clinics as needed and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two years direct experience as a Medical Assistant in a Primary Care position preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification Preferred.
• CCMA or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of practice as directed by the provider/RN/LPN.
• Assist provider/RN/LPN in coordination of patient care and prepare reports for supervisors.
• Perform regular clinical maintenance duties.
• Travel as needed to the various SCC clinics.
• Operate and maintain biomedical equipment and perform point-of-care testing.
• Adhere to legal and ethical standards for patient care.
