Job summary

On Call Counsel is seeking an experienced Investigative Paralegal to handle medical malpractice matters. You will serve as the primary point of contact for intakes, interact with clients empathetically, and support attorneys with investigations and documentation.

The role requires strong drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a demanding caseload and coordinate with clients, experts, vendors, and referring attorneys.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–5 years of medical malpractice experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Willingness to learn and use Filevine and other legal research tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical records requests and perform detailed records reviews.
• Research potential medical expert consultants to assist attorneys.
• Prepare attorneys for investigations and support investigations.
