Qualifications

• 2+ years in a law firm, legal intake, client services, sales, customer service, or a related field.
• Prior experience with sexual abuse, personal injury, mass tort, or other plaintiff-side litigation is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong telephone presence and professional communication style.
• Exceptional listening and interviewing skills.
• Ability to establish rapport and build trust with prospective clients quickly, including minors.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients by telephone, email, and other communication channels.
• Respond promptly and professionally to new inquiries.
• Conduct thorough initial intake interviews to obtain relevant information regarding the prospective client's circumstances and potential legal matter.
• Ask appropriate questions to identify key facts, dates, parties, injuries, damages, and other information relevant to determining whether a matter meets the firm's intake criteria.
• Accurately enter and maintain prospective client information in the firm's case management/CRM system.
• Review submitted documents and information for completeness and identify missing information.
• Follow up with prospective clients as directed to obtain additional information or documentation.
• Maintain timely and organized records of all communications and intake activity.
• Maintain confidentiality of prospective client information and comply with firm policies regarding confidential and privileged information.
• Provide a professional, empathetic, and reassuring experience to prospective clients throughout the intake process.
• Handle sensitive and emotionally difficult conversations with patience, discretion, and professionalism.
• Meet established response-time, follow-up, and intake performance standards.
• Assist with other administrative and client-service duties as assigned.
