Job summary

Utah Veterinary Emergency Center in Herriman, Utah is seeking a warm, reliable Receptionist to be the first point of contact for families and their pets. You will greet clients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage payments while the clinical team works behind you.

Qualifications

• Front desk or client-facing experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, organized, and able to handle high-stress situations.
• Familiarity with practice management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries with empathy.
• Check clients in/out, process payments, and maintain billing records.
• Collect and verify patient and client information for medical records.
• Communicate wait times, procedures, and discharge instructions to clients.
• Coordinate client flow and keep front desk organized during busy periods.
• Assist with basic administrative tasks and inventory of front-office supplies.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and waiting area.
• Relay critical client communications to the veterinary team promptly.
• Represent UVEC’s standard of care and professionalism in every interaction.
