Job summary

Abound Health in Newfoundland, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support an individual living in a group home. The role is part-time CPS service with driving required, flexible schedules, and weekly pay.

You will transport to community activities, help the client engage, build trust, and document activities. Paid training, opportunities for advancement, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Ability to drive for community outings (required).
• Experience with disabilities is not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to community outings (shopping, movies, church, etc.).
• Encourage social engagement and participation in preferred activities.
• Build rapport and trust with a shy individual who warms up gradually.
• Support her in navigating community environments safely.
• Promote independence and confidence during outings.
• Communicate with Abound team members and group home staff.
• Complete documentation and participate in ongoing training.
